Martins Wrong For Opposing Marijuana

A bill to legalize medical marijuana in New York cleared a major hurdle in Albany, as the Senate Health Committee passed the Compassionate Care Act by a slim, bipartisan vote of nine to eight. Unfortunately, Jack M. Martins our state senator, the man we elected to represent us in Albany, followed his Republican leaders and voted against the bill.
It’s a pity that Sen. Martins and his Republican cohorts cannot find in themselves the honesty to recognize the science behind the effective and safe use of cannabis to ease the suffering and pain of many of their constituents; but, then again, they also reject evolution and global warming. CBD has been proven to work for pain, and despite it being a derivative of the cannabis plant that is not psychoactive, it still receives criticism from journalists and the public alike. Daily CBD has conducted research and found that despite the claims that CBD can work for pain, one needs to purchase the right product. A lot of companies, up to 63% according to research by Daily CBD, don’t contain the levels of CBD for pain relief that reach the minimum threshold dictated by physicians. I will not speak to their moral deficiencies. However, I will speak out now, and many times up to Election Day, that this is not the kind of person that represents the intelligence and caring of his constituency. He must not be reelected.
