The Katie Oppo Memorial Fun/Run will be held on Sunday, June 15, Father’s Day, at 9 a.m. at Flower Hill Park on Searingtown Road in Manhasset. The park is situated between Bonnie Heights and Stonytown Road.
Help fight ovarian cancer by funding critical research helping to prevent, treat and cure this deadly disease that affects so many women of all ages.
This year’s race will be officially timed and prizes awarded to top finishers. Race registration fee prior to the race is $30, kids 12 and under are $15. To register in advance, please go to www.teamkatieoppo.org. If you register prior to June 1, all participants will receive a T-shirt. Day of race registration will be $35. You can register up to the beginning of the race at 9 a.m.
The Katie Oppo Research Fund is a 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to raising funds for research of small cell carcinoma of the ovary, hypercalcemic type and other forms of ovarian cancer. All proceeds go directly into the research fund and are given to cancer research institutions and individual researchers.
