Andrew (Andy) Francis Duane, 51, of Port Washington passed away suddenly on July 12, in Port Washington.
He was born in Manhasset June 12, 1963, to the late golf course architect Francis J. Duane and Mary Parry Duane.
He graduated from Paul D. Schreiber High School in Port Washington in 1981, and attended Hofstra University in Hempstead. Andrew was an entrepreneur and founder of Bristol Yacht Service, serving clients across Long Island.
Andrew was an avid participant in boating, lacrosse, tennis and golf. His sense of humor and quick wit would always have a room of family and friends laughing.
Andrew is survived by his dear mother, Mary Parry Duane of Port Washington, sisters Mary Duane Jago and Sean Jago of Madison, NJ; Patricia Duane Coutain and Kester Coutain of Morristown, NJ; Olivia Duane Adams and Kirk Adams of Cowan Heights, CA; brother Joseph F. Duane and Teresa R. Duane of Woodstock, VT; and five nieces and two nephews that share his love of lacrosse and the water.
Services in memorial of Andrew was held at Fairchild Sons, Inc., 1570 Northern Blvd., Manhasset, Tuesday, July 15.
