On Aug. 10, go Super Saiyan with the Farmingdale Multiplex Cinema at 1001 Broad Hollow Road, at 7:30 p.m., for a special showing of the animated movie Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods. September 11 Memorial Ceremony
On Aug. 11, the Office of Veterans Services will hold a memorial ceremony, from 9:45-10:30 a.m., for the victims of September 11. The ceremony will take place by the flag pole in front of Horton Hall at Farmingdale State College. For more information contact Eric Farina at 631-420-6168.

Movies on the Green: The LEGO Movie
On Aug. 14, come to the village green at 8 p.m. for a showing of the film The LEGO Movie. Rated PG, 100 minutes. The film follows the LEGO mini-figure Emmett Brickowski, played by Christopher Pratt, who goes on a wild adventure and discovers he holds the key to saving the LEGO universe.
DJ Dancetime
On Aug. 14, Adventureland amusement park will be having a dance party, at 5 p.m., when DJ Dancetime will be spinning the hottest dance tracks and giving out awesome prizes.
Zoning Board
The next meeting of the Village of Farmingdale Zoning Board will be held on Aug. 14, at 8 p.m., at Village Hall, 361 Main St. in Farmingdale.

Kayak the Nissequogue River
On Aug. 16, join St. Luke’s Evangelical Lutheran Church at 11:45 a.m. for this special excursion down the Nissequogue river. Cost is $28 per person. You will need sunscreen and shoes that can get wet. Bring your own snack and drinks along and eat lunch ahead of time.

Ducks Baseball Trip
On Aug. 17, join the St. Kilian Youth Ministry for a day of L.I. Ducks Baseball. The game starts at 5 p.m. at the field in Central Islip. You can arrange a ride or just meet there.
