Pure Barre Manhasset unveiled its newest line of fitness apparel, Adidas by Stella McCartney, at the Fall Winter 2014 Trunk Show for the true fashion-forward workout enthusiast on Aug. 12. From 9 a.m. through 1 p.m., guests and members of Manhasset’s Pure Barre studio enjoyed stretching and reaching through the many hangers of soft and chic shirts, tank tops, sweatshirts, leggings and more – all in the neutral, earthy shades of the Fall/Winter 2014 collection sold exclusively on Long Island at the Manhasset Pure Barre studio. Three brand representatives were in-studio sharing expert product knowledge, offering styling services while members had refreshments and shopped around.
“We had been waiting for this day for a long time,” said Deena Cavalli, partner Pure Barre Manhasset. “We love the mix of the athletic functionality of Adidas plus the stylish aspect of Stella McCartney’s designs – perfect for Pure Barre classes.”
Adidas by Stella McCartney athletic wear can also be found at Barney’s New York and other Pure Barre locations in Williamsburg, Brooklyn; Rockville, Maryland; Rocky River, Ohio and New Orleans. Manhasset is the only Long Island location thus far to carry the line. Account executive Casey Whalen of Adidas by Stella McCartney, who was there at the Manhasset trunk show, said: “Price points are right up there with competitor Lululemon,” added Whalen. “You’ll get a little bit more from this line as compared to Atletica.” The clothing uses all the best performance technology. “Everything is cut to order, so if you don’t get it when you see it, you may not be able to get it later on,” explained Whalen.
“The clothing has a chicness to it,” said Manhasset resident Susan DeFazio who purchased a new jacket and top. DeFazio has been enjoying barre classes since April and loves how it’s changed her body. “It’s nice to have stylish athletic wear,” she said. “Then after my workout, I can run around town and do whatever I need to do without feeling self conscious.”
There were a great amount of visitors who came to see the new line of fitness apparel. Members of Pure Barre brought friends in with them to check out what was in store. The extra smalls were the first sizes to go – maybe due to the pounds shed by the many Pure Barre addicts.
“We were blown away by the response to the fall collection,” said Jenny Bernholz, Pure Barre Manhasset partner. “While many of us are not ready to start thinking fall clothing, the soft pink, army green and black hues helped get everyone in the mood for cooler weather.”
Adidas by Stella McCartney is all inspired by nature, with bold, all-over prints, in natural earthy tones and structured silhouettes. The summer of 2015 will mark the 10-year anniversary of the sports performance line, first launched in 2005.
