After rides and games all afternoon at Spirit Day, middle school students are invited to continue the fun at the Middle School Dance Party in the St. Anne’s School cafeteria on Saturday, Sept. 20. This year’s theme of “Frozen”, along with the school’s new air conditioning system, will transport students into a virtual winter wonderland of dancing and music.
“This is such a great event for our middle school students,” says event organizer Barbara Tranfaglia. “It’s a chance for them to continue the momentum of the day in a friendly, safe environment with their friends. We always have great music and it’s a really popular event.”
The Middle School “Frozen” Dance Party kicks off at 7:30 p.m. and lasts until 9:30 p.m. Admission is $5 and water, soda and the very popular warm soft pretzels, prepared with care by volunteer parents, are all available for $2 each. Dance favorites will be spun by renowned DJ Steve Espy. Young people from both St. Anne’s and local schools can gather together to meet up with old friends, connect with new peers and dance the evening away in the newly air-conditioned cafeteria, a wonderful benefit made possible by Big Bucks raffles of years past.
“We hope that our middle school students will enjoy Spirit Day daytime events and then stay for the dance party,” continues Tranfaglia. “Spirit Day with the dance party is a great way for students to start off the school year.”
