‘Very Vintage’ Exhibit

rt

rtFrom now and through November, Roslyn resident Ellen Broder will have her exhibit, “Very Vintage” on display at The Bryant Library.

Broder has been collecting one-of-a-kind handbags, jewels and accessories, since she was a teenager, falling in love with their timeless charm of days gone by. She chooses her one-of-a-kind treasures with thoughtful care to reflect her mood. Every day she changes her handbags and jewelry to match her outfit.

“Once a collector, always a collector,” Broder said. “Shopping vintage is my personal passion. I am always on the look out. You never know wha

t you’ll discover. I love and appreciate the history of how each piece was made, the quality and originality that was used in creating it. I feel great reusing and recycling my vintage items. I love wearing the old stuff. All the treasures that bring me pleasures.”
Broder’s finds have been featured in Newsday and Vintage & Victorian magazine. This October 2014, some of her must have show pieces will be in the publications, Old House Journal magazine and in the fall Vintage Life, a UK magazine.

The Bryant Library is at 2 Paper Mill Rd. Call 621-2240.
