The NC Theodore Roosevelt Council of Boy Scouts of America is conducting a special membership drive on Sept. 15 and 16 from 6-8 p.m. at the Massapequa Park Public Library (40 Harbor Lane) and Massapequa Public Library (523 Central Avenue).
Local Boy Scout leaders and Boy Scouts will provide information about local scouting programs and activities for those interested in joining.
Leaders and scouts will be available to meet parents and young people to introduce them to local neighborhood scouting activities, council programs and to assist families in the application process to become Cub Scouts or Boy Scouts.
This Theodore Roosevelt Council of Boy Scouts of America recruiting initiative gives Nassau County boys and their families an opportunity to learn first-hand about the broad scope of activities scouting offers and the the benefits of joining Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts. Families that cannot make these events can visit www.beascout.org any time for information and a local community contact.
