Manhasset City Sports Opens

CitySport_091214COn Friday, the Manhasset Chamber of Commerce Co-President Nancy Morris and North Hempstead Town Councilwoman Anna Kaplan joined City Sports CEO Edward Albertian and his staff in the celebration as City Sports opened its newest location at 1900 Northern Boulevard in Manhasset. Councilwoman Kaplan extended a warm welcome to the management and employees and said, “Welcome to our North Hempstead family. We look forward to having you join our community and be part of what makes our Town such a great place to live.”

The grand opening event on Saturday, Sept. 6 featured family fun with a free bootcamp class at 10 a.m. for ages 12 and older. Health Coach Maryann Jones was on hand and had fun with customers making their own granola along with KJoy FM to make it a truly festive day.

The store features an indoor track for runners to check out how their running shoes fit.

Started in 1983 in Boston by two high school tennis partners looking for athletic gear in their neighborhood, City Sports has more than two dozen locations in the Northeast and boasts an assortment of innovative athletic apparel, equipment and footwear.

You won’t want to miss the new store at 1900 Northern Blvd. Manhasset right next to the Apple Store. The store is open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.
