Obituary: Joan A. Brandt

Joan A. Brandt of Oyster Bay. Born April 11, 1926. Died Sept. 28, 2014. Wife of Robert L. Brandt. Mother of Mitchell (Donna) and Marshall (Jessica). Cherished grandmother to Kelly (Matt), Brian, Taylor and Spencer. Retired from the Roosevelt Elementary school after 40 years of service, as a kindergarten assistant and lunch room aide. Life long resident of Oyster Bay for 88 years. Passed away peacefully in her sleep. The family will receive friends at the Francis Devine Funeral Home, 293 South St., Oyster Bay on Oct. 16 from 7 to 9 p.m. A Mass in her honor will be held at St. Dominic’s Chapel on Oct. 17 at 10:30 a.m., followed by a burial at St. John’s Cemetery in Oyster Bay Cove.
