Arrest In Upper Brookville Burglary

Police recently made an arrest in the burglary of an Upper Brookville home.

According to authorities, Thomas Laviano, 24, of Glen Head, was arrested after surrendering to police on Dec. 3. Cops said that on Oct. 27, an Upper Brookvile resident returned to her home on Colonial Drive and noticed the rear basement door and a second floor window were forced open. She called the police, who were able to recover DNA from the home. After an investigation, Laviano was placed under arrest. Police said no items were taken from the home.

Laviano is being charged with second-degree burglary.
