The jolly old elf himself will be coming to see you. If you missed the tree lighting at Mary Jane Davies Park, you missed the first sighting of Santa Claus here in Manhasset.
Santa Claus has been seen riding atop a firetruck while his sleigh and reindeer get in shape for the special night.
The firemen at Manhasset-Lakeville Fire Company One have been kind enough to sport Santa around when he travels into town to check his list to see if the kids have been naughty or nice. As a matter of fact, they have put a tracker on Santa’s whereabouts which can be found on the world wide web at www.mlfd1.com.
Santa has told the guys he will be in Manhasset from Dec. 14 through Dec. 18. His itinerary is very hectic, but he has planned to be around Manhasset and the Strathmore areas on Wednesday, Dec. 14. He is traveling to Flower Hill on Thursday, Dec. 15 at 5:30 p.m. and Munsey Park on Friday and Saturday nights at 5:30 p.m. His last run will be on Sunday, Dec. 18 starting at 6 p.m.
