On Dec. 14, 506 tubas performed at the Rockefeller Christmas Tree for the 41st annual event.
Farmingdale tuba players accompanied Ms. Pellettiere and Mrs. Hartmann, at 1 p.m., for a rehearsal, before taking to the ice at 3:30 p.m. for a beautiful performance of classic holiday tunes.
Tuba Christmas was first conceived in 1974 by Harvey Philips, who created the event to honor his teacher, William Bell, who was born on Christmas Day.
The event was an amazing spectacle full of sights and sounds. Farmingdale students, teachers and parents enjoyed it immensely.
