More than 60 South Woods Middle School students staged another wonderful theatrical production recently. The school staged the iconic “Wizard of Oz,” directed by Alan Rubinstein. Besides the student cast, South Woods students helped with lighting and stage crew, as well as playing in the pit orchestra. 
The show ran for three performances after one preview, and was very well received by appreciative audiences. It once again demonstrated the commitment of the Syosset school district to making the performing arts program accessible to all. The students are all looking forward to next year’s show.
