Computer Kindergarten for Grown-Ups
This is a slow-paced, user-friendly workshop for first-time computer users. Using Windows computers, this unique class covers the basics in a way that even the most inexperienced user will understand. There will be a small fee of $4 per patron, due at sign-up. At the Oyster Bay-East Norwich Library, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

The Turtle with the Clown Lips: Diamondback Terrapins
Program through the Huntington-Oyster Bay Audubon Society, 7 p.m. at Cold Spring Harbor Library, 95 Harbor Rd., Cold Spring Harbor. Believed to be the only turtle in the world that lives exclusively in brackish water, the Diamondback Terrapin is an iconic reptile. This program will explore the natural and cultural history of this fascinating turtle, the threats it faces and some of the solutions being set forth to protect it. With John Turner, the Open Space Program Coordinator for the Town of Brookhaven, and author of Exploring the Other Island: A Seasonal Nature Guide to Long Island and a children’s book on the water cycle entitled Waylon’s Wandering Waterdrop.

Oyster Bay Civic Association Meeting
Dr. Laura Seinfeld, superintendent of the Oyster Bay-East Norwich School District, will speak at the Oyster Bay Civic Association Meeting, 7:30 p.m. at the Italian American Citizens Club, 48 Summit St., Oyster Bay. School taxes make up the largest portion of the property tax bill, so how are these funds being utilized? Dr. Seinfeld will provide information about what to expect in the upcoming school budget and other developments occurring within the school district. All are welcome.
Illustrated Program on the Rehabilitation of the Roosevelt Home
In 2008 the National Park Service approved a project to rehabilitate the Theodore Roosevelt Home at Sagamore Hill National Historic Site. Susan Sarna, Museum Specialist at Sagamore Hill, will lead a PowerPoint presentation on the planning, packing, and implementation phases of the project, including the plan to re-install the furnishings. At 7 p.m. at the Oyster Bay Historical Society’s Koenig Center. The program is free and open to the public.
Healthy Eating Presentation

Nature Walk
A nature walk with the Huntington-Oyster Bay Audubon Society begins at 9 a.m. at the Edith G. Read Wildlife Sanctuary, a 179-acre Westchester County Park on Long Island Sound in Rye.
