Parenting Workshop: Behavior Problems
Libby Kahl, LIMH, will help you learn how to have a positive and peaceful home while raising small children, at the Oyster Bay-East Norwich Library, 7 p.m. This class will focus on practical skills for parents of toddlers and elementary school aged children. The focus will be on behavior modification for children with difficult behavior problems. Bring questions. Each participant will go home with a parenting “tool box.” Parents only please. Footsteps of the Forgotten Soldiers
Denice Sheppard and Frank Carl will be at the Oyster Bay-East Norwich Library from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. to present a program about the USCT as it pertained to the Civil War. They will also discuss the tradition of military service by the descendants of the USCT as well as the first marriage of color in Oyster Bay. The program will include a DVD presentation and family photos from the 1800s of those who served in WWII, Korea, Vietnam and Project Desert Storm. The North Shore Assembly of God, 84 Orchard St., Oyster Bay is operating a new food pantry for the community. It is meant to supplement the growing needs of the community.
