Footsteps of the Forgotten Soldiers
Denice Sheppard and Frank Carl will be at the Oyster Bay-East Norwich Library from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. to present a program about the USCT as it pertained to the Civil War. They will also discuss the tradition of military service by the descendants of the USCT, as well as the first marriage of color in Oyster Bay. The program will include a DVD presentation and family photos from the 1800s of those who served in WWII, Korea, Vietnam and Project Desert Storm.
