Mineola resident Donald Peterson and long-time Fed Ex delivery man in Garden City, was engaged on the beach in Riviera Maya, Mexico on Jan. 28 to Santina Onorio of Glen Oaks. She has been employed by Dr. Henry Maccaro, pediatric dentist in Williston Park for the last 22 years as well as a real estate agent for Douglas Elliman in Franklin Square.
The two grew up in Elmont and met back in seventh grade while attending Alva T. Stanforth Jr. High School and Sewanhaka High School. Thirty years later, the two began they dating, fell in love, are getting married and could not be happier.
