The Chancel Choir and soloists of The Congregational Church of Manhasset will present Motets, by Karl Jenkins, Sunday, March 29, at 3 p.m. One of the most performed living choral composers in the world today. This album of 19 compositions marks the year of the composer’s 70th birthday and 50 years of his career in music.
Motets is a set of intimate and spiritually uplifting a cappella (unaccompanied) choral works featuring new pieces and arrangements of a selection of movements from his most popular works. The concert is under the direction of Craig Tocher, with organ support provided by Judith Feuss.
The performance will be held in the sanctuary of the church on Sunday, March 29, at 3 p.m., followed by a reception in the Parish Hall.
