It’s that time of year again. Plainedge High School has announced the Class of 2015’s top two leaders: valedictorian Jacob Schozer and salutatorian William Loughlin. Both students will prepare speeches and lead their class to graduation in June.
Schozer is an AP Scholar with Distinction and a Commended Student. He excels in all areas of academics and is a member of the math, science and national honor societies and participates in the Intel Science Research program. Schozer has served as captain of the football team and was named All-County player, as well as being awarded the county’s Roy Kessenich Memorial. He is also a member of the wrestling team and varsity baseball team. Schozer intends to major in engineering at college.
Loughlin, also an AP Scholar with Distinction, scored a 1600 on his math and reading SATs and has been named a National Merit Finalist. He is president of the school’s Quiz Bowl team and is a member of the Mathletes and Intel Science Research program. He belongs to the science and math honor societies and intends to major in physics.
