Cake Decor Basics
The Chocolate Duck at 310 Main St. is hosting a classic cake decorating class from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Students will learn baking expertise, recipes, frosting, fillings, shell, fluted, rope and pearl borders, writing, star tipping, basket weave and piping clowns. Flowers include drop flowers, small roses and buds and leaves. Other classes will be held on May 13 and May 20.
BOE Meeting
A regular Board of Education meeting takes places in the Howitt Middle School East Cafeteria at 8 p.m.
Kids Paint Class
Children can express their artistic abilities at Paint and Main from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Attendees will be supplied with all materials needed. For details, call 516-586-5444.

May Luncheon
The Farmingdale Chamber of Commerce is hosting a May luncheon at Cascarino’s, 302 Main St., Farmingdale, at noon. Paul Defendini of Farmingdale School District will speak about the school budget. Bring your business cards. All members present will be entered into a drawing to win either Featured Member of the Month on the Chamber website, a spotlight in the newsletter, or a banner on the chamber’s website for one month.

Censored On Final Approach
The American Airpower Museum will perform the premier of Phylis Ravel’s Censored On Final Approach at 8 p.m. Censored on Final Approach tells the story of 4 WASP (Women Air Force Service Pilots), a group of roughly 1,000 women hired by the United States Army Air Force during WWII to fly military aircraft and tow targets for live anti-aircraft artillery practice, thereby freeing male pilots for combat missions. Those who come early can enhance their viewing of the show by gaining special insight on American wars and aviation through the exhibits.
