Catholic War Veterans Meeting

All Catholics who served in the U.S. Armed Forces are invited to join this meeting at the Joseph Barry Knights of Columbus, 45 Heitz Place in Hicksville. Meetings are held year-round the third Thursday of the month at 8 p.m. For more information call 516-822-3954.

Memorial Day

The United Veterans of Hicksville will be holding their annual Memorial Day Parade and Ceremonies. This year’s parade is being hosted by the American Legion, Charles Wagner Post 421, under the direction of Post Commander Gregory Faling. The parade will step off at 9 a.m. from the Sears parking lot. It will turn left and head south along Broadway to Old Country Road.  At Old Country Road it will turn west until it reaches Jerusalem Avenue. At Jerusalem Avenue it will turn south and proceed to 4th Street where it will end by the Hicksville Middle School. At approximately 10:30 a.m., the Memorial Day ceremonies will take place at the Middle School’s Veterans Memorial Park. Eyes of Learning Lecture

Pierre Dubois, author, architect, intuitive, life coach, healer and spiritual teacher, will present a lecture on “Ascension the Rescue of Humanity” at Levittown Hall, 201 Levittown Pkwy., Hicksville.
