Mia Augusta was born on Sunday, April 5 at 1:22 a.m. at Winthrop-University Hospital to proud parents Michelle and Michael Nolan.
This birth was announced by Carol and Anthony Tuzzolo of Mineola—Mia’s great grandparents—who have announced 16 other births in the Mineola American. The couple will celebrate their 59th anniversary this July, alongside their five children, 16 grandchildren and now first great grandchild.
“It’s still good raising children in Mineola,” said Carol. “Not much has changed; the schools aren’t different, they are still a good place to go.”
The Tuzzolos have resided in Mineola since 1976, and have announced every birth in their family they and will continue to in the future. They have three grandchildren attending school in Mineola and three older ones at CW Post, who have been on the Dean’s List.
“I love to keep the kids all together,” said Tuzzolo. “I love having the family around and want to keep it that way.”
Mia’s maternal grandparents are Augusta and Steve Anzalone of Franklin Square; the paternal grandparents are Dennis and Maria Nolan of South Carolina.
Mia was 7 lbs., 9 oz. and 20 ½ inches, will be baptized at St. Catherine of Sienna in Franklin Square.
