Nassau County Police arrested a California man today for withdrawing money using re-encoded credit cards in Roslyn, Roslyn Heights and Williston Park banks.
According to detectives, Abraham Grigoryan, 27 of La Crascenta, and two others (not yet arrested), used falsified credit/debit cards to withdraw money from Chase Bank customers at 1345 Old Northern Blvd., Roslyn; 138 Hillside Ave., Williston Park; and 425 Glen Cove Rd., Roslyn Heights.
Police said Grigoryan was in possession of four re-encoded credit/debit cards with account numbers belonging to Chase customers at the time of his arrest at 1:52 p.m. Grigoryan, acting in consort with others, has stolen in excess of $30,000 from victims’ accounts, authorities stated.
Grigoryan was charged with third-degree grand larceny, four counts of second-degree possession forged instrument and first-degree defraud.
