The Floral Park Chamber of Commerce’s Street Fair and Festival had one more reason to celebrate this year, the Triple Crown accomplishment of American Pharoah at Belmont Park one day earlier. The chamber’s street fair was held on Sunday, June 7, along Tulip Avenue and some of the surrounding side streets.
This year’s street fair hosted food, craft and service vendors, as well as highlighting Floral Park businesses and several local musical performances.
Floral Park Memorial Florettes, Floral Park’s Dancing Queens, Center Stage and One Sound Label all got in on the performances.
The Floral Park Art League hosted their annual art show and raffle in Memorial Park and included original oil paintings, sketches and watercolors.
The fair’s first-ever dunk tank was available, with a portion of the proceeds set to benefit the Nassau County Firefighters Operation Wounded Warrior (NCFF-OWW) Project.
