Town of North Hempstead Supervisor Judi Bosworth recently visited the Leisure Club of Mineola at the Mineola Community Center to celebrate Older Americans Month. Supervisor Bosworth thanked the members for all their hard work in the local community and acknowledged the contributions of past and current older persons throughout the country.
The Leisure Club of Mineola was also presented a proclamation which recognized Older Americans Month throughout the Town of North Hempstead. Older Americans Month is a federal celebration which first began in 1963.
