A man has been arrested for allegedly killing his 24-year-old girlfriend in her Hempstead home over the weekend, Nassau County police said.

Alan R. Espinoza, 26, also of Hempstead, was charged with second-degree murder and criminal possession of a weapon.

Homicide Squad detectives alleged that Espinoza slashed the neck of his girlfriend, Neyvin Espinal, who was found dead by her roommate at 1:45 a.m. Sunday.
