Patrick Kane has been appointed the Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of The Vincent Smith School for 2015-2016. Kane replaces Judah Samter, who will remain on the board as a trustee.
Kane and his wife Connie, who live in Garden City, have two sons who have attended the school for over three years; Derek is in the twelfth grade and Brett is in the ninth. They sought out the school when they determined that their sons needed to learn differently than they were in public school.
Kane is the sales director for Corvil, a network data analytics company. He has spent his career in information technology sales and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from St. John’s University.
“My wife and I are an integral part of the Vincent Smith School family. We have seen and experienced vast improvements, on a number of levels, with both of our sons since they started at the school. They are well-adjusted, confident and happy, and my wife and I are thrilled at the progress they have made over their years at the school. Our boys are understood and nurtured; they know what is expected of them, both academically and socially. The Vincent Smith School has helped us realize that our dreams for each of our boys has become a reality, each and every day.”
