The Art League of Nassau County (ALNC) and Greg Schnoor of Barnes Gallery are pleased to announce the Art League’s Summer Art Show at the Barnes Gallery. The ALNC is celebrating its 90th anniversary. Approximately 55 pieces will be for sale, including five Manhasset artists: Mary Beth Eggers, Rose Marino, Asbed Melkonian, Virginia Uvino and Margo Vignola.
The reception will be held on Saturday, July 11, and residents are invited to view the show, listen to the music provided by Acoustic Dave Kotliar and enjoy refreshments by Prime Caterers. There is no charge for this special event.
The show runs from July 7 until August 29 and all paintings are for sale.
“We’re very honored to have the opportunity to sell and display the ALNC’s work. We invite everyone to the reception on July 11th,” said Schnoor, owner of the Barnes Gallery.
Barnes Gallery is located at 2 Nassau Blvd., Garden City South. For more information, call the gallery at 516-538-4503 or visit www.barnesgalleryframing.com or visit the Facebook page.
The ALNC will continue its monthly meetings in Sept. 2015. It is a group of over 100 painters and sculptors organized in support of activities in the fine arts. Since 1925, they have been painting and sculpting together in a supportive, social and artistic environment. The ALNC welcomes those interested in the arts to join them. It meets at the Clinton G. Martin Recreation Center at 1601 Marcus Ave. The meetings are generally held the fourth Friday of every month, not including summers.
