The Village of Great Neck Plaza and the Great Neck Plaza Business Improvement District (BID) will host the annual Salute to New Merchants event on Aug. 18 (rain date Aug. 25) to welcome all new merchants and shop owners to the Plaza. Stores opening under new management will also be honored.
The event will take place from 7 to 8 p.m. in the Jonathan Ielpi Firefighters’ Memorial Park (Grace Avenue Park) followed by a performance from singer Ricky Pen, as part of the Great Neck Plaza Summer Concert Series.
“The Salute to New Merchants event is always a great opportunity to bring the community together and showcase the diverse variety of restaurants and shops that we have in our village,” said Jean Celender, Mayor of Great Neck Plaza. “It is an honor to welcome these new merchants to the community.”
As part of this celebration, the Great Neck Plaza BID will distribute a free coupon book at the Salute to New Merchants ceremony. The coupon books will be filled with special promotional offers from merchants—old and new—in Great Neck Plaza. The book will also be available online for anyone unable to attend the event.
A partial listing of the new merchants who are going to be honored include Caffe Bene, Daviki Jewelry, La Rotonda, Muse Paintbar, Rimon, Serene Nails and Village Asian Fusion.
