Interested in alternative energy? This Saturday, Sept. 26, the Port Washington Organic Farmers’ Market will be hosting its fourth annual Alternative Energy Day. Thinking about what you can do to use alternative energy? Here’s your chance to talk to an expert.
This popular event will feature booths from alternative energy service providers, including solar, geothermal and sustainable landscaping professionals, builders and material suppliers of green homes and booths providing general information on the subject of transitioning to clean energy.
Come Saturday, rain or shine, to the Farmers’ Market at the Town Dock from 8 a.m. until 12 p.m. to have all your questions answered and to learn more about alternative energy. And, of course, enjoy all of your familiar favorites at the farmers market, including organic produce, baked goods, herbs, flowers and much more at the only exclusive organic farmers market in New York State. The market is growing this fall with the addition of an organic chicken and egg producer, as well as an organic farmer from Bethpage Restoration. Come taste the delicious freshness of these new local food suppliers.
