North Hempstead Town Supervisor Judi Bosworth and Councilman Peter Zuckerman recently stopped by Clark Botanic Garden to observe changes to the main pond, following the removal of invasive vegetation that was affecting the oxygen and water levels of the pond. Last month, 25 Chaminade High School students, members of the Emmaus Apostolic Program, waded into the pond to remove the invasive plants. The recent work on the pond is part of a more extensive project to improve the health of the three connecting ponds at Clark Botanic Garden. The Garden is at 193 I.U. Willets Rd., Albertson.
