Letter: Brophy Family Thanks Community

It is with gratitude that we acknowledge the beautiful expressions of sympathy and condolences that we have received in the last two months. The outpouring of love has helped bring healing to our entire family, and continues to be a source of support during this difficult time.

My husband, Danny, is smiling from heaven as he witnesses our entire family coming together as one to celebrate his life and keep him alive in our hearts. He was a proud and devoted husband, father, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. He loved all of us, cared for us and did his best—always.

In addition to the countless support from all of our family and friends, we would like thank the following people: our Pastor at Our Lady of Victory (OLV), Rev. Thomas Fusco, Rev. Thomas Moriarty, Rev. John McCarthy, Father John O’Farrell, Father Gus Fernandez and Deacon Thomas Costello for their spiritual support and presence at the Mass.

Also a special thank you to the staff in the OLV rectory for their tireless work behind the scenes and the Ministry of Consolation for enduring the chaos of the Brophy house as we sat down to plan the Mass of Resurrection.

Thomas F. Dalton’s Funeral Home—Tim Dalton and his staff—treated all of us like family anticipating our every need. There were so many decisions, documents and details and Tim and his staff were loving, professional and caring through it all.

We will be forever changed by the last few months—but the most beautiful part of all is the knowledge that all of you who visited, sent cards and prayed for us have shown us a new journey of hope for the future. God Bless you.
