Enjoy the beloved melodies and learn the enchanting backstories of your favorite musicals by Cole Porter, Jules Styne, Lerner and Loewe, and Rodgers and Hammerstein on Nov. 5, 19 and Dec. 5.
Host and performer Ken Grossman with Steve Belfer at the keyboard will perform three Thursday evenings in November and December. Each session will highlight a featured composer with performances of their most famous works.
Ken Grossman has been singing in and around New York for the past decade. He has produced four CDs featuring The Great American Songbook. Steve Belfer is an experienced accompanist who has performed worldwide and worked with many fine vocalists including Engelbert Humperdinck. Belfer plays keyboard with the LI Paramount Band, Renegade, as well as at New York area events.
Performances will be held Nov. 5, 19 and Dec. 5, from 7:30 to 9 p.m., at the Cumberland Center, 30 Cumberland Ave., one block south of Northern Blvd., off Lakeville Road.
