Obituary: Allen Ransom Lippke

Allen Ransom Lippke of Charleston, WV, formerly of Sea Cliff died on Thursday, Oct. 8, 2015, at age 68. He is survived by his son, Allen Lippke Jr, of Charleston, WV, sister Margaret (Joseph) Buffa of Bayville, New York, J. Ransom of New Mexico and brother Charles Ransom (Virginia) Lippke of Washington state, godchildren Corin and Knaishia Grover, several nieces and nephews and Wanda Holley, who he loved like a daughter. He was preceded in death by his parents, Margaret and James, and his brother Anthony  Grover. Allen was a grandson of the late Charles E. Ransom, former Oyster Bay Town Supervisor. There will be a memorial service for Allen on Saturday, Nov. 14, at 11 a.m. It will be held at the Village Church, 9 Mountain Ave., Bayville. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Arbor Day Foundation in memory of Allen.
