Trustee Hohauser To Resign From BOE

William Hohauser, a trustee on the Board of Education (BOE), will resign from the BOE effective Jan. 1. Hohauser was elected to serve as a court judge for District 3 in the Nov. 3 election and cannot continue to fill both duties.

“On behalf of the entire Board of Education, we wish Mr. Hohauser well in his new role,” said BOE President Karen Sloan. “We thank him for his six years of service to the Board of Education and for his dedication to the students of Port Washington.”

Between now and Jan. 1, the BOE will be discussing options for the seat vacated by Hohauser and will continue to keep the community informed.
