Mineola resident Juan R. Jaramillo has joined the faculty of Farmingdale State College as assistant professor of pperations management. Jaramillo joins Farmingdale’s School of Business following teaching positions at Albany State University, the University of Medellin (Colombia), and Antioquia Institute of Technology (Colombia).
He holds both a Ph.D. and masters in industrial engineering from West Virginia University and bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and geological engineering from Escuela de Ingenieria de Antioquia (Colombia).
Dr. Jaramillo has published in numerous professional journals, including the International Journal of Production Management, Computers and Operations Research and Southern Medical Journal, and given presentations at conferences across the U.S. sponsored by organizations and academic institutions such as the Institute of Operations Research and Management Science, Georgia department of transportation and the University of Georgia.
