Port Washington Senior Citizens Center Board Treasurer Jim Avena, Board President Jean-Marie Posner and TD Bank’s Port Washington Branch Manager Charles Woehr celebrate the success of last month’s “Bring Change” event.

Each of TD Bank’s 500-plus branches selects a worthy charity for the “Bring Change” giving program. The bank’s Port Washington branch selected the Port Washington Senior Citizens Center. Customers made donations from all or a portion of their coins deposited in the bank’s penny arcade coin-counting machine to the Senior Center during the “Bring Change” event last month. The bank pledged to match donations from these coin receipts up to $2,000. Donations from the public during the event totaled more than $600, but TD Bank presented the Senior Citizens Center with a check for $2,600.

The Port Washington Senior Citizens Center staff, board and members are grateful to Branch Manager Charles Woehr and Financial Services Representative Jerry Volpe for selecting the senior center as the recipient for this program.
