The Brotherhood of The Community Synagogue is holding its annual Super Bowl Sunday Blood Drive on Sunday, Feb. 7, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. All blood collected at the drive will be used by local facilities in Nassau, Suffolk and Queens counties.
To schedule a donation appointment, contact Phil Roman at 917-880-8590 or email promanlaw@gmail.com. Walk-in donors are welcome. Bring a photo or signature ID and know your social security number. Eat and drink before donating. Donors must be at least 110 lbs., between the ages of 16 to 75 and have no new tattoos for the past 12 months.
If you cannot attend the drive, call Long Island Blood at 800-933-2566 and donate at a local blood center. Use the account number 3126 of The Community Synagogue Brotherhood to be part of their drive.
The Community Synagogue of Port Washington was founded in 1952 and serves 720 families. It is Port’s largest Reform congregation and is located at 160 Middle Neck Rd.
