Horsing Around

Samantha Persad of Massapequa High School, a student in the Nassau BOCES Barry Tech Horse Science and Management program, scored fourth place at the FFA Inter High School Horse Show, hosted by the North Shore Equestrian Center (NSEC) and Long Island University (LIU) earlier this month. She competed as a member of the Barry Tech team, which swept all five categories in the competition and was declared Grand Champion. Persad was a member of the team that took fourth in the Horse Bowl competition.
