Girl Scout Troop 459 visited Ronald McDonald House in New Hyde Park. The Scouts toured “the house that love built.” They baked cookies and made St. Patrick’s Day decorations. The Scouts got a close-up look at how families live there and all that the house has to offer.
“We baked a variety of desserts in the kitchen for the house guests to enjoy after dinner,” said Girl Scout Troop Leader Deidre Conneely. “Visiting the Ronald McDonald House had an emotional effect on the girls that they will always remember.”
