Great Neck Incumbents Uncontested And Reelected

Fifteen incumbents ran for uncontested seats in six of Great Neck’s villages on Election Day, Tuesday, March 15. Although there was a low turnout at the polls, all were reelected to their respective positions. Elections were held in Great Neck Estates, Great Neck Plaza, Kensington, Russell Gardens, Saddle Rock and Thomaston. The following list includes the name of each reelected official, along with the position and the number of votes received.

Great Neck Estates

• Lanny Oppenheim, trustee; 44 votes

• Howard Hershenhorn, trustee; 40 votes

• Jeffrey Farkas, trustee; 41 votes

Great Neck Plaza

• Jean A. Celender, mayor; 174 votes

• Ted M. Rosen, trustee; 157 votes

• Pamela A. Marksheid, trustee; 154 votes

Kensington

• Susan Lopatkin, mayor; 45 votes

• Philip Bornstein, deputy mayor; 46 votes

• Jeffrey Greener, trustee; 46 votes

Russell Gardens

• David Miller, trustee; 39 votes

• Matthew Ellis, trustee; 38 votes

Saddle Rock

• Manny Alani, trustee; 22 votes
