SongwritingWith:Soldiers holds weekend retreats for Veterans and active-duty service members from all branches to collaborate with professional songwriters to write songs based on military service and the return home.
The resulting songs provide a unique bridge between the military and civilian communities and help to build awareness about Veterans’ issues, needs and strengths.
In addition to songwriting, participants enjoy relaxation and additional creativity sessions in photography, visual arts and more.
The next retreat is May 13 to 15 at Edith Macy Conference Center, Briarcliff Manor, NY.
