Evelyn A. Fitzsimmons, a lifelong resident of Port Washington, died on April 5, 2016. Evelyn was predeceased by her beloved sisters Mary Fitzsimmons, Gertrude Cassidy, Julia Smith and Margaret Fitzsimmons. Funeral arrangements were handled by Austin F. Knowles Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Saturday, April 9, 2016, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Peter of Alcantara Church. The entombment followed at Nassau Knolls Cemetery.
