Sandsport/Shoshana, the Port Washington/Sands Point chapter of Hadassah, was proud to honor member Ellen Bernstein Fox for her outstanding contributions to Hadassah membership. She received the prestigious Hadassah Nassau Myrtle Wreath Presidential Award at a reception at Temple Beth Sholom in Roslyn Heights on Thursday, April 14. Among other honorees were New York State Comptroller Thomas P. DiNapoli, Dr. Betty Diamond and the Holocaust Memorial and Tolerance Center of Nassau County.
Founded in 1912, Hadassah, the Women’s Zionist Organization of America, is the largest women’s largest Zionist and largest Jewish membership organization in the U.S. In Israel, it supports medical care and research, education and youth institutions, and reforestation and parks projects.
