Silverstein Hebrew Academy (SHA) celebrated Israel by hearing from a former IDF soldier, learning about inventions made in Israel, participating in a Krav Maga training session and going on a scavenger hunt from room to room, where they learned and participated in many exciting activities. In the Knesset room, the students learned about the prime ministers and how they have helped Israel become the great country it is today. In the Israel Museum, the students created art murals with Israeli symbols. When the students visited a Kibbutz, they made hummus, pita and freshly squeezed orange juice. The trip to the Shuk Hakaremel was particularly delicious as students enjoyed an Israeli-style lunch. The love for Israel was felt throughout the halls and in every room at SHA.
