With the summer season approaching there will be early registration for many popular summer programs. The full-day program, youth gardening, cartooning and new youth Jedi boot camp are ready for summer fun. In recent years, many summer programs have been added for adults who enjoy staying in shape year-round. These well-rounded offerings include Boot Camp, Indoor Slimnastics, yoga and Zumba.
Registration for all of the listed programs will be held on Wednesday night, May 18, from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. in the recreation/pool complex. Proof of residency (the new 2016-17 VFP Leisure Pass or the 2015 VFP pool pass) is required on the above registration date. As a reminder, there can be no multi-family registrations. Applications for all of these programs may be picked up at the recreation/pool building or the Park Shelterhouse.
Village residents recently received the Summer 2016 Recreation & Pool booklet. The booklet provides a complete description of all programs provided at the pool and the recreation center. Residents may also find official forms including adult volleyball and basketball team rosters, the new 2016-17 leisure pass application and 2016 Swimming Pool application, swim lessons and the Pirates swim team. With the second season of the new and beautiful pool ready to launch, villagers who would like to get an early start on the summer season may register Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. in the recreation pool building.
Residents may also find program and registration information at www.fpvillage.org under the Recreation/Pool tab listed as Recreation Booklet 2016 and Pool Booklet 2016. Residents with any questions or looking for more information may call the recreation/pool building during office hours, Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. at 718-326-6336.
