Fundraiser For Camp Kehilla Scholarship
The Kids For Kehilla Committee recently raised more than $2,000 through its spring fundraiser to benefit the Camp Kehilla Scholarship Fund.
Kids For Kehilla is a fundraising and educational committee comprised of children aged 6-12, along with their parents, who work year-round to fundraise for the scholarship fund. Camp Kehilla has been a pioneer in special needs camping for more than 20 years. With a focus on building self-esteem, social skills and lasting friendships, the camp offers a summer camp experience for children who might not otherwise have one.
This spring, the committee partnered with Nassau Candy Specialty Confections & Fine Foods in Hicksville and sold chocolate bars from May 16-22. All those who made purchases were entered into a raffle and qualified to win a grand prize tour of Nassau Candy’s chocolate factory. The winner of the drawing was announced on June 1.
In total, the fall and spring committee fundraisers combined raised more than $6,000, all of which will support the Camp Kehilla Scholarship Fund.
