Members of Sewanhaka High School’s Green Club and adviser Yvonne Sherwood spent a couple of days in May caked in dirt, weeds and mulch. The greenies weeded the school’s flowerbeds, turned over soil and planted three perennials on school grounds on May 21. They also trimmed a tree, built a mini rock wall and applied 35 bags of mulch. On May 23, other Green Club members weeded the large flowerbed around the school’s flagpole and cut four hedges. Here, Sewanhaka Green Club members Sukanya Raj and Ana Ochoa are helping clear up around the school’s flagpole.
