North Hempstead Town Supervisor Judi Bosworth, the Town Board, and the North Hempstead Housing Authority have announced that the public housing waiting list for senior and disabled housing is open.
The available residences are located at Magnolia Gardens (899 Broadway in Westbury), and Manhasset Valley (155 East Shore Road in Manhasset).
Applications for the Rental Assistance Demonstration Program (RAD), formally known as Senior Housing, must be made in writing or in person at: North Hempstead Housing Authority, 899 Broadway Suite 121, Westbury. The program is only available for individuals ages 62 and older, and/or disabled individuals who receive SSI or SSD. All applications must be completed, signed, and submitted in person or via mail by Friday, August 12.
